Student Door Entry

Review Ryder’s arrival, entry, and dismissal procedures, including the designated entrance for each grade level.

Arrival Information

Arrival

  • Students must enter through the designated entrance for their grade level.
  • Students should line up behind the appropriate room number painted near their entrance.
  • Parents and guardians are not permitted to enter the building during student arrival.
  • Teachers or support staff will meet students and escort them to their classrooms.
  • Students should not arrive before 8:30 AM.

Inclement Weather Entry

  • School staff will be stationed at both ends of each hallway.
  • Students will report to the floor of their classroom and wait near their classroom door until 8:45 AM.
  • Students arriving at 8:45 AM should go directly to their classroom and line up outside the door.

Dismissal Procedures

  • Teachers or support staff will escort students to their assigned exit door.
  • Students will not be sent down the stairs or outside without staff supervision.
  • Students must exit through the same door designated for their grade level.
  • Students must leave school grounds immediately after dismissal. Loitering is not permitted.
  • Students meeting siblings should go directly to their family’s designated meeting location and leave once everyone has arrived.
  • Students may not re-enter the building after dismissal.

Diverse Learner Students Enter Through Main Entrance

Pre-K and Room 108 Enter Through Lowe Street Entrance — Classroom Side Entrance

Middle School — Grades 6–8 Enter Through Door 1 — Gym Doors

Intermediate — Grades 3–5 Enter Through Door 2 — Beside the Gym Doors

Primary — Kindergarten–Grade 2 Enter Through Door 3 — Playground Doors
